Q: How are things going for you/your
band this year in SF?
A: Things are going pretty, pretty, pretty good.
First, we just played with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah at The Independent here in SF. That was a milestone for us, considering how huge they were in 2005, which is coincidentally also the year Keith (my songwriting and lead singing pal in Sporting Life) & I started writing music together. Anyway, opening a sold out show for a popular band with mega indie cred is daunting, considering everybody is there to see CYHSY & can grow impatient if they're not in the music. We feel like we brought across what we do, so... success!
Besides that, we have a show at GAMH on July 8, and we're working on some new material. You can peep an unmixed, unmastered song here:
