3 QUESTIONS WITH....Mano Dio Gracias

Q: How are things going for you/your band this year in SF?
A: Things are going well. I am working on two releases this year for the wildlife. One EP and ONE full length to follow. Both are almost done. but none are finished.

Q: Which 3 local bands that have faded away would you most like to see come back?
A: I'd like to see the wildlife get back together. We actually never officially broke up. Look for some surprises this year.

Q: If you had to recommend three current local bands for fans to check, what would they be?
A: I don't know because I don't get out much. But if the wildlife ever starts rehearsing again I would recommend them.

3 QUESTIONS WITH.... Daniel Lannon

Q: How are things going for you/your band this year in SF?
A: So far so good! We have been working on our new record at Different Fur Studios... it's almost been a year or seems like it will be soon. We have songs with Kylee from Loquat, rapper A-1, and maybe some few other tricks up our sleeves. We will also be finishing up the record at the Converse/Cornerstone Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn New York, so we're pretty excited about that.

Q: Which 3 local bands that have faded away would you most like to see come back?
A: I'd love to see Plan 9 (Misfits cover band, rock it again!)
Every Move A Picture
& Murder of Lilies

Q: If you had to recommend three current local bands for fans to check, what would they be?
My Fav Local Bands right now are...

3 QUESTIONS WITH.... Andrew Gomez

Q: How are things going for you/your band this year in SF?
A: Things are going pretty, pretty, pretty good.

First, we just played with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah at The Independent here in SF. That was a milestone for us, considering how huge they were in 2005, which is coincidentally also the year Keith (my songwriting and lead singing pal in Sporting Life) & I started writing music together. Anyway, opening a sold out show for a popular band with mega indie cred is daunting, considering everybody is there to see CYHSY & can grow impatient if they're not in the music. We feel like we brought across what we do, so... success!

Besides that, we have a show at GAMH on July 8, and we're working on some new material. You can peep an unmixed, unmastered song here:

Q: Which 3 local bands that have faded away would you most like to see come back?
A: Three SF local bands that have faded away? Hmmm. Let's go with:

A. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
B. American Music Club
C. Huey Lewis & The News

Q: If you had to recommend three current local bands for fans to check, what would they be?
A: Three current local bands?

A. Girls
B. The Spyrals
C. The Fresh & Onlys

3 QUESTIONS WITH.... Israel Chavarin

Q: How are things going for you/your band this year in SF?
A: Things are going as great as I could hope for in my little music world as I play bass and promote shows under Roundmusic Presents:

The Frail, we have new managment wer're really excited to be working with, Britney Tillman and/with YBR Promotions. We're also trying to finish an album produced by Partick Brown (owner of Different Fur Studio) and its being recorded at Different Fur as well. Hopefully the album will be done by June, 12 songs, yay! Our guitartist at the moment has his indie rock band Sporting Life which I'm filling in for on bass.

Sporting Life, has a sold out show at the Independent with Clap Your Hands Say Yeah May 22nd, June 8th at GAMH and June 29 with Dramarama at the Red Devil Lounge.

Roundmusic Presents:, trying to put on shows is funny to me. Either things work super easy and I can get quick confirmations from bands or it can be a total nightmare where I'm one band away from solidifying a night. At the moment I have Tornado Rider, Battlehooch, Kill Moi, Sporting Life and dj Whats His Fuck at Great American Music on june 8th and Loquat, Young Digerati, Foxtail Somersault, Chelsea TK and the Tzigne Society and dj Galine MoDamoiselle at Slims on July 28th.

Q: Which 3 local bands that have faded away would you most like to see come back?
A: Bands that have faded that I miss are Maldroid who arent playing indefinitely, Persephonee's Bees who moved to NY and Rykarda Parasol who moved to Paris.

Q: If you had to recommend three current local bands for fans to check, what would they be?
A: Three local bands I would suggest are Young Digerati, Mister Loveless and The Bruises.
